Lilium joins forces with Bristow to offer electric air mobility

Bristow Group Inc., the leader in global vertical flight solutions, is reportedly entering into a partnership with German aerospace company Lilium for procuring 50 Lilium Jets along with delivering maintenance facilities for the launch network of Lilium Jet in Florida and in other European and US markets.

Under this non-binding MoU (Memorandum of Understanding), the collaboration between Lilium and Bristow is outlined on the development of a maintenance program for supporting the operation of the Lilium Jet, along with inclining up the maintenance in support of the Lilium Jet’s EIS (entry into service) and post EIS services.

The MOU lets Bristow be an authorized service provider for Lilium. It further defines how Lilium and Bristow are expecting to collaborate on the process for attaining the applicable supervisory approvals for controlling the Lilium Jet in Florida and set up for Bristow to obtain 50 Lilium Jets.

Lilium is amongst the first eVTOL companies to pair certified air carriers with support services and infrastructure developers like flight training, maintenance, and repair.

Bristow’s addition as a Part 145 maintenance provider indicates considerable progress for Lilium, adding another dependable partner to empower its regional air service in Europe and North America.

Daniel Wiegand, Co-Founder and CEO of Lilium said that the Bristow partnership is built on partnerships with other leading organizations. Like the other collaborations, Bristow is considered the best in their field.

He said that Lilium is a top-class maintenance provider with extraordinary operational experience. The company is devoted to collaborating and working with the best air travel partners to enable a positive commercial entry for the Lilium Jet.

Furthermore, Bristow is one of the leaders in innovative and sustainable perpendicular aviation solutions to some of the top leading offshore energy companies. Additionally, Bristow is vigorously revolutionizing its business to accept sustainable and innovative technology, including eVTOL aircraft.
